Women’s Golf Finishes in Sixth Place

GAINESVILLE, FL–The Florida State women’s golf team finished in sixth
place at the Lady Gator Invitational at the University of Florida Golf
Course today. The Lady Seminole team score of 904 was five strokes behind
the University of Mississippi.


The Lady Seminoles were led by junior Erika Iding. Iding used a
final-round 75 to finish tied for 21st with a three-day total of 224. Amy
Bond captured sole possession of 32nd with a three-round total of 227.
Louise Wright, a freshman from England posted a final-round 76 to stand
tied for 33rd with two other golfers. Sarah Capie fired a 74 today to
finish tied for 45th at 232. Amy Spooner rounded out the scoring for the
Lady Seminoles with a total of 242.


The University of Georgia captured the team title while Julia Boros of
the Lady Bulldogs grabbed individual honors.
