Women’s Golf in Second Place after Two Rounds

MIAMI, Fla.–The Florida State women’s golf team is in a tie for fourth
with Florida International after the second round of the Ryder-Florida
State Collegiate Championships at the Miami Lakes Country Club. The Lady
Seminole team score of 630 is 12 strokes behind third-place South Florida.

Junior Amy Bond is tied for second after a second-round 73 on Saturday.
Bond has a two-day total of 146, one stroke out of the lead. Amy Spooner
fired an 80 to end the day tied for 20th at 158. Sarah Capie rebounded
after a first-round 88 with a 77 in the second round to be alone in 39th
place. Louise Wright and Erika Iding rounded out the scoring, standing
tied for 40th and 47th, respectively.

The final round of the tournament will take place tomorrow morning at the
Miami Lakes Country Club.
