Women’s Golf Takes Ninth At Beacon Woods Invitational

BAYONET POINT, Fla. — The Florida State women’s golf team fired a
final round 309 to finish in ninth place at the 12-team Beacon Woods
Invitational on Sunday at the Beacon Woods Golf Club in Bayonet Point, FL.
FSU’s final round 309 was the fifth best total of the final day.

The Lady Seminoles’ three-round total of 952 was 66 shots behind
tournament winner Miississippi State, who finished at 886.

Kris Tamulis led Florida State with a 27th place finish. Tamulis
bounced back from a second round 84 to fire a two-over 74 on Sunday. She
finished at 20-over par, 236, 20 strokes behind individual champion Anna
Gertsson of Mississippi State.

Beth McCoumber followed Tamulis for the Lady Seminoles. McCumber
shot an 80 on Sunday to finish at 22-over and in a tie for 30th place.
Other Florida State finishers were: Laura Kowalski (T-32nd, 23-over, 239)
and Alison Zimmer (T-43rd, 27-over, 243).

Louise Wright shot 82 and 83 on the first two days before
withdrawing today.
