TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) –
The Florida State women’s golf team plays in its final regular season match of the season as it travels to compete in the 20-team Web.com Intercollegiate at the Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., April 8-9. The event will be played over two days with 36 holes played on Monday and 18 holes played on Tuesday. All three rounds are scheduled for shotgun starts with the first and third rounds (morning rounds) beginning at 8:30 a.m. The Seminoles enter the Web.com Intercollegiate having earned six top 10 team finishes in their eight events this year including three in five events this spring. Florida State earned its best finish of the spring season at the All-Florida Challenge as it finished in second place in the team standings.

Florida State is joined by No. 14 Purdue, No. 17 Texas Tech, UCF, Charleston Southern, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Daytona State College, East Carolina, Florida International, Illinois State, Iowa State, Jacksonville, James Madison, Kennesaw State, Maryland, Michigan, North Florida, Sam Houston State and Stetson in the Web.com Intercollegiate at the Marsh Landing Country Club. The event will be played on the Par 72, 5,987 yard course in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. which opened in 1986 and is annually recognized as one of the top courses in the Southeast region of the United States.
SEMINOLES PLAY WELL IN THE SUNSHINE STATE
Florida State continues its spring season as it travels to play in the Web.com Intercollegiate in Ponte Verde Beach, Fla. It marks the fourth event this spring for the Seminoles that will be played in their home state of Florida. The Seminoles have earned three top seven team finishes – second at the All-Florida Challenge (Lecanto, Fla.), fourth at the Florida State Match-Up (Tallahassee, Fla.) and seventh at the Lady Gator Invitational (Gainesville, Fla.) – in their events played in the Sunshine State this spring.
NEGRON EARNS 10TH CAREER TOP 10 FINISH
Senior Jessica Negron earned her 10th career top 10 individual finish as she placed sixth in the individual standings at the Bryan National Collegiate. She has now earned three top 10 finishes in the last four tournaments (tied for third at the Florida State Match-Up, tied for ninth at the Lady Gator Invitational and sixth at the Bryan National Collegiate) and four during her senior season (she finished in a tied for seventh place at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate during the fall season). Negron has finished in the top 10 of six of her last 12 events since earning a tied for fifth place finish at the Bryan National Collegiate during the spring of 2012.
NEGRON’S SCORES ARE TOPS FOR THE SEMINOLES
Senior Jessica Negron came within one stroke of tying her career best as she carded a 3 under par score of 69 in the third round of last weekend’s Bryan National Collegiate. She has now carded the five best single round scores for the Seminoles this year with her score of 69 standing as the best score by a Florida State player this year. She has also accounted for all four of the Seminoles’ best three round tournament scores with her scores 216 (both even par) coming at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate (tied for seventh place) and at the Florida State Match-Up (tied for third place) counting as the best tournament scores of the year for the Seminoles.
HULLERT A FIXTURE IN FLORIDA STATE’S LINE-UP
Freshman Olivia Hullert, who finished in a career best tied for fifth place in the individual standings at the spring season opening Florida Challenge, is the only Seminole newcomer (and one of only three players on the team) who has played in all eight events this year. She earned back-to-back top 15 individual finishes in the Florida Challenge and the Florida State Match-Up (tied for 14th) and finished in a tie for 16th place at the LSU Tiger Classic. Hullert as finished as the Seminoles’ leader (or tied for the team lead) in three events: the Landfall Tradition, the Florida Challenge and the LSU Tiger Classic.
MILAN BACK IN THE LINE-UP AT BRYAN NATIONAL
Sophomore Alex Milan earned her way back into the Seminoles’ line-up at the Bryan National Collegiate. It marked the first time this spring that she had played as a member of Florida State’s starting five after appearing in the Florida Challenge and the Florida State Match-Up as an individual. Milan has played in five events as a sophomore – three as a member of the starting line-up (Mercedes Benz Collegiate and the Landfall Tradition and Bryan National Collegiate) and two as an individual. She is ranked third on the team with a career low 76.25 stroke average in 12 rounds during five events this year.
RAMSAY SETS CAREER HIGH
Senior Mary Beth Ramsay has played in a single-season career high six events as a senior after playing in eight events during the first three years of her career
