Women’s Soccer Announces 2000 Signing Class

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Head Coach Patrick Baker welcomes 10 new ladies to the 2000 signing
class, including three from Florida and one from Sweden, Texas, Virginia,
Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee and New York:


Kristin Boyce Kristin is from Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. She has
been a member of the Olympic Development Program for the past three years and
was named to the Region III Team in 1999. Primarily an outside defender,
Kristin has been a starter for four years on her high school varsity team,
receiving All-District honors since her freshman season. Kristin plays for the
Klein Challenge Soccer Club out of Houston. This highly successful club
program was the U-17 South Region Champion in 1999 and a contender for the 1999
National Championship. Kristin has also been named an Academic All-District
student.


Emma Breland Emma is originally from Sweden and has spent the past year as a
foreign exchange student at South Side High School in Jackson, Tennessee.
Playing as a central midfielder this past high school season, Emma led the
state scoring record with 59 goals in 19 games. She was named both
All-District and All-Regional Player of the Year. She was a finalist for
All-American honors, yet was not considered due to her Foreign Exchange Student
status. In Sweden, Emma was a member of the U-17 National Team. She played
for the club team IFK Trelleborg from 1988-1996, where she was the top scorer
and the team captain each year. From 1998-1999, Emma played on Malmo FF, a
premier Swedish club program. She was the youngest player on this team that
finished second in nationals. Emma has also participated in training sessions
with the Swedish National Team.


Janet Burke Janet attends Starrs Mill High School in Fayetteville, Georgia.
Janet received NSCAA All-American honors for the 1999 high school season when
her team was Georgia State Champions. She was also voted MVP of the 1999 high
school state playoffs. She has been an All-County player since her freshman
season. Janet has participated in the Olympic Development Program for five
years, being named to the Region III team in 1998 and 1999. Primarily a
forward, Janet has excelled on her club team, the Tophat out of Atlanta,
Georgia. This club has consistently been recognized as one of the premier
clubs in the south region. Janet also received Academic All-American honors
for her exemplary academic record.


Summer Corum Summer attends Vero Beach High School in Vero Beach, Florida. A
starter on varsity since her freshman year, Summer has tallied up 140 goals and
68 assists for a stellar high school career. She was named All-Conference for
four years and was the leading scorer in her district her first three seasons.
Summer has participated in the Olympic Development Program for the past four
years, and was named to the Region III team for three of those four years.
Summer is a member of Team Boca, a highly competitive club team in the south
region who were state champions in 1999.


Marisha Crowe – Marisha is a senior at Germantown High School in Memphis,
Tennessee. Marisha has been a starter on the varsity squad since her freshman
year and has been named All-State and All-Region all four seasons. She was
captain this past season when Germantown High won the state championship.
Marisha has participated in the Olympic Development Program the past four years
and was named to the Region III pool in 1999. Primarily an outside defender,
Marisha has played for the state champion Memphis Fury club team for four
years. Marisha is also a member of the National Honor Society’s Beta Club.


Tiffini DeGaetani Tiffini is a native of New City, NY where she attends
Clarkstown South High School. She was captain of the team this past season
when they won the high school state championships. She has been voted
All-State for the past four years and was able to participate on the varsity
squad as an 8th grader. She was voted the team’s overall MVP this past season
as well. Tiffini has been a member of the Olympic Development Program for the
past seven years. She was named to the Region I team in 1996 and 1999.
Tiffini plays both as an outside and central defender for her club team, the
Lady Bengals out of Eastern New York.


Sara Dunlap Sara is a native of Tallahassee, Florida. She attends Maclay High
School where she has started on the varsity squad since she was in 7th grade.
Sara has been voted All-State the past two years and was named the All-Big Bend
Player of the Year in 1998. Sara was the leading scorer at Maclay when the
team won the state championship. She was named captain of the team for her
senior season. Sara has been a member of the Top of Florida soccer club the
past six years. She has also been a guest player of both Team Boca and the
Pensacola Samba, two successful club programs in the state of Florida.


Tori George Tori George is from Fairfax, Virginia where she attends Chantilly
High School. She has started on the varsity squad since her freshman year and
was named All-District the past two years. She was a member of Virginia’s
state team in the Olympic Development Program. Tori plays for the Braddock
Road Legend. This club team was the 1999 Champion of both the Raleigh
Shoot-Out and the WAGS Invitational, two well-known national tournaments. Tori
starts for her club team and as well as her high school squad as an outside
defender. Tori is also a member of the National Honor Society with a 3.8 grade
point average.


Lisa McCammack Lisa is a junior at Florida State University. She
attended Naperville Central High School in Illinois where she was named an
All-State player three of her four
seasons on varsity. In addition, her junior and senior season she was named
NSCAA All-Midwest. Lisa set three high school records playing primarily as a
forward during her successful career. She was 1st in career assists with 62,
1st in season assists with 23 and 1st in career goals with 53. Lisa was a
member of the Olympic Development Program for three years and was named to the
Regional Pool in 1994. Lisa is majoring in Biology at FSU.


Amber Tollefson Amber attends Spanish River High School in Boca Raton,
Florida. Amber has started on the varsity squad for four years and has been
named All-State every season. Amber garnered the Golden Boot Award as a
freshman when she led the team in scoring during their state championship
season. Spanish River High was also Florida State Champion on 1998. Amber is
captain of the team as a senior. She has participated in the Olympic
Development Program for four years, playing on the Region III team for the past
two years. Amber plays for Team Boca, a Florida club program that won the
state cup championship in 1999. She is also a member of Key Club and is a
Florida Scholar with her 3.4 grade point average.

The FSU women’s soccer team is very proud to bring these 10 young ladies into
their program.
