Women’s Soccer Falls to No. 1 North Carolina

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State women’s soccer team lost to #1 North
Carolina this afternoon 7-0 at the site of the Seminole Soccer Complex.
Florida State falls to 3-4-0 (0-3 in ACC) as the Tar Heels improve to 6-0-0
(2-0 in ACC).

The Tar Heels scored in the first three minutes of play followed by three
additional goals before the half. UNC then scored three more goals, their
final goal coming at the 61:00 mark. April Murphy and Jordan Sims each had
a shot on goal and goalkeeper Jamie Gurtov had ten goalie saves.

The Seminoles travel to Orlando on Wednesday for a 4pm match-up with
Central Florida. FSU returns to action at home on Sunday, September 27 for
an ACC match with the Clemson Tigers at 2pm.
