Women’s Tennis Blanks Jacksonville

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State women’s tennis team defeated
Jacksonville 7-0 in a rain shortened match at the Scott Speicher Tennis
Center. With the win, The women improve their record to 9-9 on the season.


The Lady Seminoles opened the matched by dominating singles. They won
every match in straight sets to take a commanding 6-0 lead. Florida State
clinched the match when No. 5 Sasha Hanna defeated Karen Goldsmith 6-2,
6-0.


The only doubles match to be completed was Ali Weber and Helena
Karlsson’s victory over Goldsmith and Greta Perovic 8-1.


The Lady Seminoles have their final home match of the season on Sunday,
April 5th, when they face Florida International University at 10:00 a.m. at
the Speicher Center.
