Women’s Tennis Falls to N.C. State

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State women’s tennis team dropped a close match to North Carolina State 5-4 Sunday at the Scott Speicher Tennis
Center in Tallahassee. FSU’s record now stands at 6-8 on the season.

The Lady Seminoles split the opening singles matches with the Wolfpack at
three each. Winners for FSU were No. 2 Nanette Duxin, No. 4 Sasha Hanna,
and No. 6 Kylie Thompson.

In the doubles portion of the match, N.C. State clinched the winning
taking two of three matches. The No. 3 doubles team of Ali Weber and
Helena Karlsson were victorious 8-4 over Brie Glover and Francie Barragan.
However, Kylie Thompson and Sasha Hanna lost at No. 1 doubles for FSU 7-9
to Blair Sutton and Nena Bonacic and No. 2 doubles Duxin and Natalie
Carratala lost 4-8 to Marissa Gildemeister and Ramsey Roberts.

Florida State plays again on March 21st when they travel to Mobile to
play South Alabama at 2:30 p.m.
