Women’s Tennis Remains Undefeated

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –The Florida State women’s tennis team defeated Georgia
State today for their fifth consecutive win to the start the season.

FSU won all six singles matches before play was halted for rain going
into the doubles matches. None of the doubles matches were finished and
FSU won the match 6-0.

The Lady Noles dropped just one set all afternoon. Freshman Alida
Gallovits got the Noles going with a win at No.1 over Georgia State’s Uta
Dittmer. Gallovits came from behind to win 6-7, 6-4, 6-3. Nanette Duxin,
Jessica Balbuena, and Kia Asberg all remained undefeated this spring, each
with a record of 5-0. The other victorious Seminole ladies were Ali Weber
and Marina Raic.

Saturday, the Lady Seminoles host the top-ranked Gators from the
University of Florida. The match begins at 11:00am at Scott Speicher
Tennis Center.
