Women’s Tennis Set to Host Seminole All-Conference Showdown

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State women’s tennis team is set to host their only tournament of the fall as they welcome 15 teams from 11 different conferences into town for the Seminole All-Conference Showdown.

The Seminoles will be hosting teams from every Power 5 conference including Oregon (Pac 12), Florida (SEC), Clemson (ACC), West Virginia (Big 12) and Wisconsin (Big 10). Tulane, Furman, Troy, UCF, MTSU, ETSU McNeese State, UNF and Southern Miss will also be in town.

WHAT: Seminole All-Conference Showdown
WHO: Athletes from 15 different schools and 11 different conferences will be competing in an individual singles and doubles tournament.
WHEN: Friday-Sunday, Nov. 9-11
WHERE: Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center on the Campus of Florida State / FSU Indoor Tennis Courts.

-There will be no live scoring.

Draws
– There will be 10 singles brackets of eight.
– There will be four doubles brackets of eight and one round-robin of five.

No Rain Daily Schedule
-Friday, Nov. 9 – Starting at 9:00 a.m. with two doubles rounds and one singles round
-Saturday, Nov. 10 – Starting at 9:00 a.m. with one doubles round and one single round
-Sunday, Nov. 11 – Starting at 9:00 a.m. with one single round

Schedule if Friday Rain
-Friday, Nov. 9 – Starting at 8:30 a.m. with one singles round
-Saturday, Nov. 10 – Starting at 9 a.m. with two doubles round and one single round
-Sunday, Nov. 11 – Starting at 9 a.m. with one doubles round and one single round

Format & Scoring
-Doubles will be played to six
-Singles will be best two out of three sets with a third set tiebreaker in all matches
