TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State volleyball team remained perfect(14-0) in the series with crosstown-rival Florida A&M with a three-game
sweep of the Rattlerettes this evening at Tully Gymnasium. FSU improves to 13-7 overall with its 15-2, 15-6, 15-1 victory over FAMU, who falls to 6-10
on the year.

Florida State committed just nine errors through the three games on its way to a .487 team hitting performance. Junior middle hitter Aisha Thornton continued her dominance at the net with 14 kills on 17 attempts with just two errors. She hit a strong .706 for the evening and contributed three block assists. Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Werrick also tallied double digit kills with 11 on her way to a .348 hitting night.
Florida A&M’s junior middle blocker Reneeka Gause led the way with eight kills.
The Lady Seminoles will host Virginia and Maryland this weekend in ACC competition. The Cavaliers invade Tully Gymnasium at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16th while the Terrapins visit on Sunday, Oct. 18th at 1 p.m.
