2000 RECORD: FSU opened the 2000 season with a 7-0 start, one of the most impressive starts in the 25-year coaching career of Dr. Cecile Reynaud. The Lady Seminoles started things off with four straight wins over Southern Miss., FAU, Charleston Southern and Illinois, without losing a single game. FSU won the FSU Tournament with a big win over a talented Illini team. The Garnet and Gold came back and went five games with Alabama, eventually rolling over the tide for their sixth-straight win. The Lady Noles followed their impressive start with a trip to Ball State, where they won the opening two games before dropping the championship game to the hometown Cardinals. The Lady Noles followed with the Lady Seminole Classic, where they took three of four matches, losing their only home match this season to #25 Notre Dame. The Noles rebounded the following day with their most dominating performance to date, a 15-5, 15-6, 15-1 win over FAMU. The Noles ended their pre-conference play with a win over UCF in four games.
