The men’s 4×400-meter relay wrapped up the 2009 World Championships in Berlin over the weekend and a pair of Seminoles were in action once again. Kevin Borlee helped lead the Belgium squad to a fourth place finish, while Ricardo Chambers and his Jamaican team was unable to get out of qualifying.
Borlee ran the final leg of the relay in the heats round as he helped lead the Belgium team to a first place finish in the heat with a time of 3:02.13. Chambers was not as fortunate as his Jamaican squad finished fifth in the same heat and was unable to qualify for Sunday’s finale.
Borlee ran the second leg in the final on Sunday as the United States team claimed first, followed by Great Britain, Australia and Belgium. The Belgium team ran a season best in the final with a time of 3:01.88.
