Clemson, S.C. – The 66th-ranked Seminole women’s tennis team looks for its first ACC win of the season when they face No. 42 Clemson Saturday at 12 p.m. at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.
Florida State is led by redshirt senior Daneika Borthwick. Borthwick is ranked No. 72 in the ITA rankings after beating No. 28 Kaitlyn McCarthy of Duke on Feb. 26. She has now been ranked every season she has been with the Seminoles.
Clemson trots out four ranked players, led by No. 17 Joana Eidukonyte. Eidukonyte and Theresa Piontek are ranked No. 52 in the doubles standings. The Tigers (5-5, 3-2 ACC) are coming off pair of road losses at Boston College and Virginia but have won each of the past two meetings with the Noles.
Later Saturday, FSU will travel to Spartanburg, S.C., for a meeting with Wofford (7-2). The teams have never met.
