GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sophomore Brooke Wyckoff and freshman April
Traylor were among those who earned all-Atlantic Coast Conference women’s
basketball honors, announced today by league officials.
Wyckoff, who averaged 13.8 points and 8.0 rebounds in the regular
season, was named to the All-ACC Third Team. She ranked among the league
leaders in several statistical categories including 12th in scoring, 5th in
rebounding and second in both blocks and steals. It is the second straight
season that Wyckoff has been recognized by the conference. As a rookie,
she was a member of the ACC All-Freshman Team.
Traylor earned ACC All-Freshman Team accolades after averaging 12.8
points per game and scoring in double figures in 14 of the last 15 games.
A starter for the Seminoles, Traylor was twice named the ACC Rookie of the
Week during the season. Traylors honors marks the third straight season
that Florida State has had a player earn all-freshman team honors.
The Seminoles will face top-seeded Duke, ranked No. 8 nationally,
in the first round of the ACC Tournament on Friday, February 26th at 8 p.m.
The game will be played at Independence Arena in Charlotte, N.C., and can
be heard live in Tallahassee on WNLS Sportsradio AM 1270.
