The honor marks the second All-Region recognition for both student-athletes. Wynn was an all-region selection in 2007 and Hamilton was an honoree last season.
“We are so excited for Carly and Sarah,” FSU head coach Lonni Alameda said. “They have worked really hard all season to stay consistent and be difference-makers for our program. This is a great individual honor for both of them and it is also a wonderful team honor. We are very proud of them and their accomplishments.”
Wynn enters NCAA Championship play as FSU’s leader in batting average, runs scored, doubles, triples, hits, total bases, slugging percentage, walks, on-base percentage and stolen bases.
The Sharpsburg, Ga. native finds herself at or near the top of the ACC in several of those statistical categories as well. She is third in the league in batting average, sixth in slugging percentage, third in on-base percentage, third in runs scored, second in hits, first in both doubles and triples, and second in all three of the following: walks, stolen bases and total bases.
As for Hamilton, the Tallahassee native eclipsed t he 20-win mark for the second year in a row and leads the ACC in strikeouts. Her 1.47 ERA ranks third in the league.
Wynn was named to the All-ACC First-Team this year and Hamilton was placed on the ACC’s All-Tournament Team.
