Tallahassee, Fla. – The 2008 Florida State softball schedule has been decided and the season will officially begin on Friday, February 8 as the Seminoles host the Early Bird Tournament with the University of Louisville, Southern Mississippi and Troy.
The Seminoles will host a total of three tournaments in 2008 with the Seminole Classic beginning Feb. 15 and the FSU Invitational March 7-9. UConn, Appalachian State, Georgia State, UAB, Michigan State, Bethune Cookman and Jacksonville University will all travel to Tallahassee to participate in those tournaments.
In conference play, Florida State will host North Carolina, Boston College, Georgia Teach and North Carolina State on JoAnne Graf Field. The Seminoles will take on Virginia, Maryland and Virginia Tech on the road.
Also on the schedule this season is Florida, the University of Central Florida and Michigan.
