Madi Frey

Frey was ranked 73rd by Extra Inning Softball in the 2022 class rankings and the 29th ranked catcher in the class…she had a .458 batting average in her high school career with a .509 on-base percentage and a .758 slugging percentage…Frey has earned All-Western Conference honors during her first three years of high school…She was named a Colorado Sparkler All-American and a PGF Nationals All-American…Frey was a member of the Dean’s list every semester of high school and ranks in the top 10 percent of her graduating class.

Travis Wilson: Madi will bring some right-handed power to our lineup. She has the ability to catch and play both corner positions at a high level on the infield. We have been following Madi for a number of years and are excited to finally get her signed and a part of the family.

Makenna Reid

Reid has been named an All-American three times…she was named a 2015 USSSA All-American, a 2016 USSSA All-American and a 2017 USA All-American Selection for Region 9…As a freshman and junior she was named First-Team All-League Pitcher for the Three Rivers League and in 2021 she was named the League’s Pitcher of the Year…Reid was also named First Team All-State in 2021…She finished her junior season with a 15-2 record, including 218 strikeouts in 108 innings…Reid limited her opponents to a .129 batting average in 2021.

Lonni Alameda: Makenna’s recruiting journey has been very unique. She is an old soul and a student of the game. I feel she will thrive in this teaching environment. She is a left-handed pitcher that will bring a different look and complement our staff. We can’t wait to get her on campus.

Avery Weisbrook

Weisbrook is ranked 40th by Extra Innings Softball and 52nd by FloSoftball…She also earned a 4-Star ranking by OnDeck Softball and is on the 2022 PGF Futures All-American Watch List…Weisbrook is a four-year varsity starter and has been named First Team All-Conference her first three years of high school…She was named Second-Team All-Area her freshman year and First Team All-Area her junior year…She is a two-time conference champion and two-time captain of her high school team…Weisbrook has a .397 batting average with eight home runs and 41 RBIs…she was also the starting libero for her high school volleyball team all four years of high school and was named All-Area Defensive Player of the Year in volleyball her junior season.

Travis Wilson: Avery will be a legit defender at multiple positions on the infield for us. She can drive the ball to all fields and plays the game with a high IQ. She has leadership qualities that will be a great addition to our program, along with her passion to play the game. We are delighted she has chosen the Noles to continue her softball journey.

Madi Balk

During her junior season of high school, Balk recorded a 0.239 ERA while holding her opponents to a 0.058 batting average…she had 219 strikeouts in 87.2 innings of work…during her freshman season she was named the Most Outstanding Pitcher of the USSSA Nationals in Ocean City, Maryland…during her sophomore year of high school, she was named the tournament MVP and the Most Outstanding Pitcher at the USSSA Nationals in Connecticut…Balk has also performed highly in the classroom as she has been named to the High Honor Roll from seventh through 12th grade and ranks eighth in her high school class…Balk is also a member of the English Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society, Science Honor Society, Math Honor Society and National Honor Society…

Lonni Alameda: Madi is a very driven student-athlete that we believe will thrive in our program. She has a great knowledge of pitching, spins the ball at a high rate and is extremely driven to continue to grow in all aspects of her pitching skill sets. Once we were able to spend some time with Madi and her family we knew right away that they will contribute on and off the field to our Nole family. We are excited to add this type of character and talent to our 2022 class.
