TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Redshirt sophomore kicker Roberto Aguayo was named a the ACC Specialist of the Week for the second week in a row and third time this season on Monday.
The Mascotte, Fla., native drilled a 26-yard game-winning field goal with three seconds left to lift Florida State past Boston College, 20-17, on Saturday night.
Aguayo finished the game with eight points, by making 2-of-3 field goal attempts and both extra point attempts.
Last week, Aguayo went 3-for-3 on field goal attempts and made a career-long 53-yarder to finish with 12 points in the Seminoles’ 30-26 comeback victory at Miami.
The 2013 Lou Groza Placekicker of the Year Award winner has made 42 of 45 career field goal attempts and all 140 of his career extra point attempts.
