MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Senior Landon Marzullo earned his first career All-American honors as a Seminole placing seventh on the three-meter at the 2011 Men’s NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn. After two days of competition the Seminoles are in 24th-place with 14 points.

“We’re really excited about this result,” diving coach Patrick Jeffrey said. “Landon competed well with every dive and I thought he was solid on the boards.”

The Columbus, Ohio native scored a six dive total of 378.85 to earn his All-American accolades. This is the third time in his career that Marzullo has earned All-American honors. The first two came while at Indiana. Senior Mike Neubacher finshed the three-meter in 33rd position (268.70).

“Landon did a real solid job,” Jeffrey said. “He dove really well I think that tomorrow good be a big day.”

In the pool, senior Rob Holderness opened his NCAA Championships with a 22nd-place finish in the 100 breaststroke touching the wall in 53.67.

The Seminole divers will continue competition on Saturday with the platform competition, while senior Rob Holderness will compete in his signature event the 200 breaststroke. For live results and a recap from the day log onto
