Anna Long Earns AVCA Junior Beach Volleyball All-American Honors

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced their eighth annual AVCA Junior Beach All-American Team on Thursday, placing freshman Anna Long on the first team.

Along with her First Team Junior All-American honors, Long received 9th Region MVP in 2019-20, Second Team All-State in 2019 and AVCA/MaxPreps Player of the Week on Nov. 10, 2020. She was also named an Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention in 2020. Long was a 2020 KHSAA State Champion and was named to the 2020 First Team All-State team while being named the 2020 KHSAA State Tournament MVP. In 2021 she won the P1440 National Championship and the BVNE National Championship while being named a 2021 P1440 First Team All-Star.

The High School Girls Beach All-America Committee, who selected the team, included Jeff Smith (chairperson; 692 Beach – West Coast), Wayne Grant (Great American Volleyball – East Coast), Steve Bishop (USA Volleyball Florida Region – East Coast), Andrew Bennett (Tamarack Beach Volleyball Club – West Coast), Ryan Mariano (RPM Sand – West Coast), Bryan Jones (Southern Sand Select – Southeast), Marlee Rice (AAU – West Coast), Colleen Craig (Rally Volleyball – West Coast).
