Baseball TV Schedule Announced

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State Athletics Department announced Wednesday, February 10 the television schedule for the 2010 Seminole baseball season. A total of 12 games will be shown during the regular season on either Sun Sports or Fox Sports Florida.

Fans will have the opportunity to watch nine games played on Mike Martin Field inside Dick Howser Stadium as well as three more road contests this year. Seven of those games will feature conference opponents and two more against intra-state rival Florida.

The TV conference slate will feature two home games against Maryland and home contests against Virginia, Virginia Tech, Miami and NC State and one road game at Clemson. Games against Miami and Clemson have been tagged as the ACC Game of the Week on the Regional Sports Network. Fans are encouraged to check their local listing for broadcast information when the Seminoles square-off against the Hurricanes and the Tigers.

The first television game of the season will come on opening day as the Seminoles open the 2010 campaign against Georgia State in Tallahassee. First pitch is schedule for 4:00 p.m. with the game airing live statewide in Florida on Sun Sports. Other non-conference television games pit the Seminoles against Hofstra, Georgia and Florida.

For the second consecutive year, Sun Sports will broadcast live from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville on Tuesday, March 30 when the Seminoles and Gators face-off at 7:00 p.m. This marks the fourth straight year these in-state rivals have squared off in Jacksonville as the Seminoles have won two of the first three games from the Gators.

For the third year in a row, every game of the ACC Tournament will be televised. The tournament will be held May 26 – 30 at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro, N.C.

Sun Sports can be found in Tallahassee on Comcast channel 28 and nationally on DirecTV channel 653 and the Dish Network channel 422. FS Florida can be seen in Tallahassee on Comcast channel 29 and nationally on DirecTV channel 654 and Dish Network channel 423.
