TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (seminoles.com) — No. 16/16 Florida State, which has won each of its last five ACC games by an average of 18.6 points, travels to play at Georgia Tech on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta. The game is the second of the season between the Seminoles and the Yellow Jackets following a 74-61 Florida State win in Tallahassee on December 15, 2020. Florida State arrives in Atlanta having won five consecutive ACC games with victories over NC State (January 13, 105-73), North Carolina (January 16, 82-75), at Louisville (January 18, 78-65), Clemson (January 23, 80-61) and Miami (January 27, 81-59). The Seminoles are 5-0 since the calendar turned to 2021 and will look to close out an undefeated month of January for the first time since the 1988-89 season when they won each of their eight games in the first month of the year. Following Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech, the Seminoles will travel to play at Boston College on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 9:00 p.m. in the first of two regular season meetings between the teams.
SEMINOLES TO PLAY AT PITTSBURGH ON FEBRUARY 6 IN RESCHEDULED GAME
The Atlantic Coast Conference announced that the postponed Florida State at Pittsburgh men’s basketball game, originally scheduled for January 9, has been rescheduled and will be played on Saturday, February 6 at 2 p.m. and be carried on RSN.

Florida State enters Saturday’s game at Georgia Tech ranked No. 16 in this week’s Associated Press poll and No. 16 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Seminoles were ranked No. 15 in both of the major polls during the week of December 14, 2020.
FLORIDA STATE SINCE THE START OF THE 2018-19 SEASON
Florida State is 65-15 (.813 winning percentage) since the start of the 2018-19 season. The Seminoles finished 29-8 in 2018-19, 26-5 in 2019-20 and are 10-2 this season. Since defeating Clemson on December 8, 2019, the Seminoles have won more than 87 percent of their games with a record of 27-4 (.871 winning percentage).

Florida State is 35-10 (.778 winning percentage) in ACC regular season play since the start of the 2018-19 season. The Seminoles finished 13-5 in 2019, 16-4 in 2020 and are 6-1 this season.
BARNES A MIDSEASON CANDIDATE FOR THE LUTE OLSON AWARD
Freshman Scottie Barnes, Florida State’s leader in assists and its second leading scorer, has been announced as one of 35 midseason candidates for the Lute Olson Award as presented by collegeinsider.com. He is one of five players from the ACC (Barnes; Justin Champagnie, Pittsburgh; Sam Hauser, Virginia; Matthew Hurt, Duke, Carlik Jones, Louisville) and one of only four freshman from across the nation (Barnes; Cade Cunningham, Oklahoma State; Evan Mobley, USC; Jalen Suggs, Gonzaga) in the Olson Award Midseason List. Barnes is also a candidate for the Naismith and Wooden Awards as the National Player of the Year and the Bob Cousy Award as the nation’s top point guard.
WALKER ONLY 46 POINTS FROM 1,000 FOR HIS CAREER
Senior M.J. Walker, who has scored in double figures in 10 of Florida State’s first 12 games, enters Saturday’s game against Georgia Tech with 954 career points and needs only 46 to become the 47th member of the Seminoles’ 1,000 career point club. Walker has scored 19 of his 954 career points against Georgia Tech in four career games against the Yellow Jackets.
