FSU 1, TCU 4

Even though the overall score may not reflect it, No.4 Florida State and No. 2 TCU battled hard through very close sets before TCU ultimately walked away with the win. TCU has won both duals against Florida State this season, but FSU still leads the overall series 12-2.

Jordan Polo and Morgan Chacon matched up on court three for today’s match. The pair exchanged points back and forth with TCU but could not find the advantage. Polo and Chacon dropped the match to TCU 21-19, 21-14.

Raelyn White and Kate Privett fought for every point on court five. The duo stayed within three points of TCU but could not catch up to the Horned Frogs. TCU won the match 22-20, 21-18.

Following the theme of the first three games, Maddie Anderson and Brook Bauer were unable to get an edge over TCU on court one. The pair dropped the match 23-21, 21-17.

On courts two and four, the pairs went to three sets each. The redshirt senior duo of Madison Fitzpatrick and Alaina Chacon earned the only match point for the Seminoles, winning 21-17, 17-21, 15-11 on court two.

FSU 3, LSU 2

The Seminoles earned a statement win over LSU tonight. After a season-ending loss in the NCAA Championship Tournament last season, the Seminoles fought through to the very last set to overcome the Tigers 3-2.

The Seminoles hit the scoreboard first with a match point on court four. Anna Long and Jordan Polo won in two very close sets 25-23, 21-19.

Luck did not seem to be on Kate Privett and Raelyn White’s side as they dropped their second match of the day. The pair lost in the third set to LSU after uncharacteristic errors and unlucky rolls. LSU won the match 15-21, 21-16, 15-13.

Maddie Anderson and Brook Bauer made a statement on court one, earning the second match point of the night in two sets 21-14, 21-13.

Jenna Johnson and Liz-Waters Leiga gave LSU their second match point of the night, losing 21-16, 21-12 on court three.

The match decision came down to court two with Madison Fitzpatrick and Alaina Chacon. After giving up the first set 21-15, they took charge in the next two sets. Once the pair found their rhythm, they gained the advantage in the second set 21-19, forcing it to three. After four LSU errors, Chacon and Fitzpatrick took the lead and never looked back. They sealed the win for the Seminoles in the third set 15-12.
