Beach Volleyball Faces Tough Conference Competition in Seminole Beach Battle

Match Notes | Tournament Page

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The seventh-ranked Florida State volleyball team is set to host its third and final home event of the season this weekend, as five teams visit Tallahassee for the Seminole Beach Battle.

Florida State will host four conference opponents – Georgia State, Florida Atlantic, UAB and UNC Wilmington – and TCU, who is set to join the CCSA next season. This event gives FSU the conference experience it needs as it heads towards the end of the season and closer to the CCSA Championships as they look to win the conference title for the third consecutive season.

The Seminoles host FAU, UNC Wilmington and TCU on Friday, and UAB and Georgia State on Saturday. In their final home match of the season, the team will honor its five seniors – Hailey Luke, Vanessa Freire, Tory Paranagua, Lauren Anderson and Katie Horton – before Saturday’s match against the Panthers.

FSU will finish the regular season at LSU’s Battle on the Bayou next weekend before heading to the conference tournament and the NCAA Championships.
