Bo O’Dell Named Florida Collegiate Summer League Pitcher of the Week

Tallahassee, Fla. – Sophomore right hander Bo O’Dell was named Florida Collegiate Summer League Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, June 19.

Playing for the Altamonte Springs Snappers this summer, O’Dell posted his second straight quality start allowing only one earned run on just three hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. The Kissimmee, Fla., native tossed a FCSL-record 106 pitches as he led the Snappers to a 9-5 victory over the Leesburg Lightning to improve his record to 2-0.

O’Dell ranks among the top 5 in several statistical FCSL categories including strikeouts (14), earned run average (0.75) and opposing batting average (.154).

In his two appearances, both coming as a starter for the Snappers, O’Dell has faced a total of 39 batters. He has allowed six hits and two runs, one earned, in 12 innings.
