Charlton “CY” Young Appears On ACC Live

Charlton “CY” Young, who was named the No. 1 Minority Assistant Coach in Division I college basketball by the Minority Coaches Association, appeared with Jorden Cornette and Dalen Cuff on ACC Live on Thursday.

Young spoke about being speechless and humbled to be honored by the Minority Coaches Association as he begins his eighth season at Florida State. The Seminoles won the 2020 ACC Championship with a 16-4 mark in conference play marking the first time Florida State had won the regular season ACC Championship. The 16 ACC wins for the Seminoles ranks as a program record.

Florida State was ranked No. 4 in the final Associated Press poll of the 2019-20 season – the highest final ranking in school history.

“I’m committed to Florida State basketball; I’m committed to J. Leonard Hamilton and helping him win a national title and getting him into the hall of fame and to really establish us as the New Bloods of college basketball. We are here and we are not going anywhere.”
