Meredith Martelle joined the Florida State swimming and diving staff as the director of operations in October of 2016.
The Charlotte, N.C. native returned to her alma mater after stints with the USTA, Mecklenburg Swim Association, Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates and Steven Lang Dentistry.
Martelle earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education and Teaching in 2009 before obtaining her Master’s in Sport Management in 2011.
Through graduate school, Martelle worked in the FSU Athletics Administration office and stayed in Tallahassee for the 2011-12 season, where she was the receptionist for the academic department in athletics.
Following her time at FSU, Martelle served as the assistant to the Manager of Player Development for the USTA in Boca Raton, Fla. from March of 2012-13. In February of 2013 Martelle moved back to Charlotte where she worked for the Mecklenburg Swim Association until January of 2014 as a swim coach and lesson director.
Prior to her return, Martell worked for a pair of medical firms until September of 2016.
A member of the FSU women’s team from 2005-09, Martelle helped the Seminoles capture their lone ACC Title in 2006.
