Women’s Basketball Get 20th Win at ACC Tournament

The Seminoles defeated Miami for the second time this season, 72-67 in overtime in the `Noles first game of the ACC Tournament. They fell short in their quarterfinal game to Notre Dame 83-57. They finish the season 20-11, the eighth 20 win season under Sue Semrau. The NCAA bracket will be announced a week from today.

Men’s Basketball Heads to ACC Tournament

After winning three straight, the Seminoles dropped their regular season finale to Syracuse on Senior Day, 74-58. They travel to Greensboro for the ACC Tournament as the nine seed. They will play Maryland for the third time this season on Thursday at 12pm.

Baseball Wins Opening Series of ACC Play

The Noles moved to 21-2 all time in their opening series of conference play and 67-6 against Maryland. The Seminoles picked up a win in the first game thanks to 13 runs in the seventh and eighth (15-3 win). They picked up the series win on Sunday riding Mike Compton’s first complete game and first complete game shutout since 2004 (7-0 win).

Softball Stays Hot, Picks Up Series Win vs VA

The Seminoles traveled to Charlottesville for their first ACC series. The Seminoles dropped game one, but picked up the series win against Virginia. The last two games the Seminoles mercy ruled the Cavaliers with a game three win on the back of Lacey Waldrop’s no-hitter.

Zones Begin

The Diving team has headed to Greensboro for Zone B qualifiers. This is the only chance for the divers to qualify for the NCAA Championships. The Seminoles have sent nine members for the meet that will span three days from March 10-12.

Women’s Tennis Falls to Notre Dame

Sunday the Seminoles dropped their match to Notre Dame 6-1 in South Bend. They have two more road trips (NC State and Duke) before returning home.

Sand Volleyball Opens Season 4-0

The fourth-ranked Florida State sand volleyball team opened its third season with four victories over No. 9 FIU, UNF, ULM and Jacksonville on Saturday and Sunday at the UNF Sand Invitational.
