Darby was selected as one of 42 2014 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List nominees, while Barron was one of 62 student-athletes named to the Rimington Trophy 2014 Spring Watch List.
Darby made nine starts and appeared in all 14 games for the 2013 National Champions, serving as a shutdown cornerback for the nation’s No. 1 pass defense (156.6 ypg). The Oxon Hill, Md., native finished the season with 14 tackles, two interceptions, four pass break-ups and one fumble recovery. He was also named the ACC’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2012.

Barron is slated to replace 2013 Rimington Trophy recipient Bryan Stork on the Seminoles’ offensive line this fall.
Barron has five career starts and 30 games under his belt and is expected to help anchor an all-senior starting offensive line for FSU in 2014. The Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., native started in a 59-3 win at Wake Forest last season.
The Rimington Trophy is awarded to the nation’s top center each season. Stork became the 15th winner of the prestigious honor last season and the first Seminole.
