TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Senior Nandini Das (Mumbai, India) earned ITA Southeast Region Most Improved Senior on Monday as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.
Das has been a mainstay in the Seminole lineup throughout her four years at Florida State. Das finished her career with 71 singles wins (22nd all-time at FSU) and 61 career doubles wins. Her 132 total wins rank 23rd all-time at Florida State.
Throughout her career with the Garnet and Gold Das has played on all six courts with most of her action coming on court three. She finished her senior season with a 19-7 singles record and a 10-4 record in the spring. She was 1-0 on court two and 9-4 on court three, earning three ranked wins all in straight sets, including a 6-3, 6-2 win over No. 47 Rosie Johnson of Virginia. Das was ranked as high as No. 83 in the country in singles during the 2020 season.
In doubles, she finished the spring with a 6-4 record. Das had a 5-4 record with fellow senior Andrea Garcia and a 1-0 record with freshman Victoria Allen.
Her impact in her senior season helped propel the Seminoles to a program-high ranking of No. 2 in the country. Florida State finished the season with a 14-3 record with five wins over ranked teams and a 3-1 record in the ACC.
