ATLANTA, GA.- Florida State men’s tennis brought three players to the Georgia Tech Invitational, winning two of four matches on Friday.“Georgia Tech does a great job with this tournament every year,” head coach Dwayne Hultquist said. “They’ve got schools from both the SEC and ACC, so the competition is very high.”
Senior Jose Gracia began singles play for the Seminoles, but fell to No. 109-ranked Emil Reinberg of Georgia 6-4, 7-6.
Freshman Alex Knaff posted the first win on the day, defeating Furman’s Clarke Wilson 7-6, 6-2. Freshman Rana Roop Singh Bhullar fell to Furman’s Cameron Green 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles, the two freshmen posted the ‘Noles second win of the day, dropping Auburn’s Max Hinnisdaels and Conner Huertas 8-6.
“I was very proud of the way we competed today,” Hultquist said. “Our team is earning some great experience.”
