Sept. 1, 1999

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Florida State dominated the FANSchoice Preseason All-ACC Team, with a whopping total of 19 Seminoles selected (eight on offense, nine on defense and both kickers).

FSU also swept all three individual honors, as flanker Peter Warrick was named Offensive Player of the Year, tackle Corey Simon was tabbed Defensive Player of the Year and tailback Nick Maddox was chosen Freshman of the Year.

Georgia Tech and UNC each had two honorees, while NC State had one. The Yellow Jackets were represented by quarterback Joe Hamilton and split end Dez White. The Tar Heels placed tight end Alge Crumpler and linebacker Brandon Spoon on the team, while the Wolfpack’s Lloyd Harrison got the nod at cornerback.

The team was selected by fans who logged onto, the official website of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Five voters were randomly selected to receive FANSonly t-shirts.
