Florida State And ISP Announce Partnership

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida State Athletics Department announced today that ISP – “America’s Home for College Sports” has been awarded the multi-media rights to Seminole athletics. The agreement, which is worth a minimum of $66 million over a 10-year period, begins July 1, 2007 and runs through June 30, 2017.

“We welcome and very much look forward to our new relationship with ISP,” said Dave Hart, Director of Athletics at Florida State. “ISP affords us exciting opportunities and Ben Sutton, ISP’s CEO, is extremely knowledgeable and well respected throughout the industry.

“We were very fortunate to be in a final negotiating position with truly exceptional people and firms. This negotiation has resulted in guaranteed income which represents a very significant increase over our current rights fee.”

The multi-media partnership guarantees the university an annual rights fee plus additional considerations based upon revenue generated by ISP, and will encompass sales and marketing opportunities associated with FSU sports, including radio and television programming, game programs and other athletics publications, the school’s official athletics website (www.Seminoles.com), and at-event corporate promotions and hospitality functions.

Florida State joins an impressive group of more than 40 major NCAA athletic programs and properties that are aligned with ISP. That list includes Atlantic Coast Conference members Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Miami, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. This past year, ISP produced a national football and basketball radio network for the ACC and also entered a marketing relationship with the FedEx Orange Bowl, host of the league’s football champion.

ISP will have a nine-person staff servicing Seminole Athletics from a Tallahassee office. Michael McClure, former Vice President of Sponsorship Sales for Pacers Sports & Entertainment, which managed all corporate partnerships for the NBA’s Indiana Pacers and Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, will serve as General Manager of that sales and marketing team.

Founded in 1992 in Winston-Salem, NC, which remains its corporate home, ISP has enjoyed tremendous growth within the intercollegiate athletics marketplace. The company operates nearly 40 regional offices and counts more than 200 employees on its energetic team.

Sports fans from upstate New York to south Florida, from Texas to Ohio, and from California to Washington state can tune in to the ISP Network that includes over 800 radio affiliates, while television viewers all across America watch ISP programming every week on one of its 100+ outlets.

ISP will replace Host Communications, which had been FSU’s multi-media rights holder the past 17 years.
