Florida State Announces Ninth Annual Champions Auction

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Seminole Boosters, Inc. and the Florida State University athletics department announces the ninth annual Champions Auction benefiting women’s sports. The auction will be held the weekend of the NC State football game on Friday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the 4th floor of the Dunlap Champions Club.

“The fact that we will be hosting our 9th consecutive Champions Auction is a testament to the generosity of FSU supporters and the enthusiasm of our athletics staff,” said Florida State Vice President and Director of Athletics Stan Wilcox.  “Once again the proceeds will go to the Coaches’ Clubs for each of our women’s sports at FSU.  It is a popular event held for a worthy cause which makes for a great evening.”

All Seminole fans and supporters, sports enthusiasts and community members are invited to attend. Our guests will spend the evening meeting FSU coaches and student-athletes, cheerleaders and Golden Girls, enjoying refreshments and bidding on many of the exciting auction items. Silent auction bids were done via online bidding last year with huge success and will be utilized again at this year’s event.  A live auction will also take place with some unique Seminole items featured. Bidders must attend the event to bid on live auction items.

All proceeds from the evening will go directly to supporting the Coaches’ Clubs for each of the 11 women’s sports at Florida State. Funds donated to the Coaches’ Clubs provide supplemental assistance to each sport team by funding necessary items that are not covered in the sport’s annual operating budget.

Organizations can help with the continued achievements of both our academic and athletic programs by sponsoring the event or contributing items, services or financial support to the Champions Auction. Please consider helping Florida State student-athletes who rely on your support to build their programs and ultimately to help them become successful in life.
