TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Juan Dixon scored 19 points while Terence Morris
and Lonny Baxter dominated the boards Sunday, leading No. 14 Maryland to a
76-55 victory over Florida State.
Maryland (12-4, 3-1 Atlantic Coast Conference) won its 10th straight game versus Florida State, pulling away after leading 36-28 at the half over the cold-shooting Seminoles.
Morris was just 1-of-12 shooting and finished with five points. But he had
14 rebounds while Baxter added 12 points and 13 rebounds to help the Terrapins
to a 54-37 advantage on the boards.
Florida State (5-11, 0-3) drew to 36-32 in the first half minute of the
second half, but Maryland pulled away with an 18-6 run to lead 54-38 with 8:27

The Seminoles hit only 31 percent of their shots and had more turnovers than
assists, as did Maryland.
Neither team shot well at the line either, with Maryland hitting 56 percent
and Florida State 53 percent.
