Tallahassee, Fla. — The Florida State Seminoles team went through practice number eight of their 15-date spring football practice schedule this afternoon. After holding the first full scrimmage of the spring on Saturday, the team worked out for 18 periods in shells (shorts, shoulder pads and helmets).
“They did a pretty good job today,” said head coach Bobby Bowden. “We tried to correct some of the mistakes we have been making. With such a young team, the key is cutting down the mistakes.”
The team started with fundamentals drills and worked on areas that need improvement following the scrimmage.
“The quarterbacks didn’t look bad in the scrimmage,” said Bowden. “You wish you could get out and scrimmage everyday because they have so much to learn. They are beginning to pick it up a little bet better. They were a lot more accurate today.”
Devard Darling returned to practice for the first time this afternoon. Darling spoke to coaches and teammates, but did not practice.
FSU will practice again on Wednesday and Friday before scrimmaging on Saturday.
