TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The 15-0 and third-ranked Seminoles head to Florida A&M on Tuesday, March 1 at 6 pm for the first of two-midweek games this week. FSU then hosts Oakland on Wednesday, March 2 at 6 pm. Neither game is being streamed online.
This is the second meeting between Florida State and FAMU this season and the 122nd all-time meeting between the Seminoles and the Rattlers, FSU leads the series 114-7.
FSU defeated FAMU 8-3 at JoAnne Graf Field last Wednesday. Florida A&M took an early 2-0 lead in the first inning and held that lead until FSU scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
The Seminoles then host Oakland on Wednesday, March 2 at 6 pm. This will be the first-ever meeting between FSU and Oakland in softball.
Florida State heads into the week coming off 15 straight wins, including five wins over ranked opponents.
The Seminole pitching staff is still unbeaten with a perfect 15-0 record through the first three weeks of the season. They have combined for 99 strikeouts in 96 innings while holding the opponent to a .162 batting average. The Noles have a combined 0.95 ERA.
Team power returns for the Seminoles as FSU has hit 16 home runs, five triples and 22 doubles in the first 15 games of the season. FSU has outscored its opponents 104-18 so far this season.
