Florida State Men’s Golf Team In 10th Place At Atlanta Intercollegiate

Florida State sophomore Rusty Mosley carded an even-par 142 over two rounds to lead the Florida State men’s golf team through the first two rounds of the Atlanta Intercollegiate at Eagle’s Landing Country Club. Mosley led the Seminoles with scores of 72 and 70. The Seminoles are in 10th place in the team standings.

Mosley (Vidalia, Ga.) improved his individual standing by six positions with his one-under par score of 70 in the second round. He was in a tied for 24th place after round one with his one-over par score of 72. Mosley now leads the team with four scores of par or better this spring.

Sophomore Matt Adcock (Apopka, Fla.) also played well during the two rounds played on the day. He carded an even-par 71 – his team-leading 11th single-round score of 75 or better this spring. Adcock is in a tie for 37th-place heading into the final round of the event.

Junior Tim Vickers (Alpharetta, Ga.) enjoyed a strong second round as he carded a one-over par 72 – his second best single-round score of the spring. He carded a season’s best 71 in the second round the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate.

Sophomore Mark Sestilio (Punta Gorda, Fla.) and freshman Adam Wallace (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) are also competing for the Seminoles.

The Seminoles were in ninth place after the first round of play. Adcock led the Seminoles with an even par 71 and was followed closely by Mosley who carded a one-over par 72. The Seminoles’ 295 team score in the first round was their sixth best of the spring season.

The event concludes Friday with a final round of 18 holes.
