TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State soccer program enters its 27th season in 2021 and is coming off of a national runner-up finish in May. The Seminoles have announced their 2021 regular-season schedule, which includes nine homes games inside the Seminole Soccer Complex.
The 17-game regular-season schedule includes six teams that finished the 2020-21 season ranked or in the receiving votes of the United Soccer Coaches Poll. Five of the six teams ended in the top-10 – No. 3 North Carolina, No. 4 Virginia, No. 6 Clemson, No. 7 Duke and No. 8 Texas A&M. All five of those teams made the NCAA Tournament, along with South Alabama and Colorado who are also on FSU’s schedule.
The Seminoles are on the road for eight games in 2021, including five road games in the ACC. The Seminoles are on the road at Colorado (August 29), at Florida Gulf Coast (September 9) and at Auburn (September 12) to complete their out-of-conference schedule.
FSU welcomes Texas A&M (August 19), Alabama (August 22), South Alabama (August 26) and Florida (September 2) to the Seminole Soccer Complex for their home out of conference schedule.
Florida State opens the season at home for the fifth straight year and will host Texas A&M on August 19 and Alabama, which is led by former FSU assistant Wes Hart, on August 22. The Noles then host South Alabama on Thursday, August 26 before heading on the road to play Colorado on Sunday, August 29.
The Garnet and Gold come back home for one game against in-state rival Florida on September 2. The Noles wrap up their out-of-conference schedule the next week at FGCU on September 9 and at Auburn on September 12.
Florida State begins conference play on September 18 as they host Boston College. The Seminoles are home the next Thursday to play Pittsburgh on September 23 before heading on the road to take on Louisville (September 26). FSU stays on the road the next week to play one game at Clemson on October 1.
The Seminoles cap of the season with three of their last six games at home. FSU takes Syracuse (October 7) and Miami (October 10) in Tallahassee before going on the road to Virginia Tech (October 15), North Carolina (October 21) and Duke (October 24). Florida State finishes off its regular season with a home game against Virginia (October 28).
The ACC Tournament is set to begin on Sunday, October 31.
Admission is free for all home regular-season games at the Seminole Soccer Complex. There will be an option to buy premium reserved covered seating before the season. Seating will be made available to Soccer Coaches Club members and 2021 Seminole Booster Annual Fund members first, and then to the public (if available).
The announcement of any televised games will come closer to the start of the season.
