TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State women’s soccer team returns to action on Saturday, February 28 as they face the University of Georgia at 2:00 p.m. in Athens, Ga. This is the first competition for the Seminoles since their NCAA Tournament match against Notre Dame in November.
Florida State will have their entire roster available for this game with the exception of redshirt sophomore Erin McNulty who is currently competing with the Canadian National Team. Returning to the field for the Seminoles for the first time since November is defender Becky Edwards. Edwards missed the NCAA Tournament as she captured a gold medal with the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team at the FIFA Youth World Cup. Saturday’s game also marks the first collegiate competition for freshman Breezy Hupp, who enrolled early at Florida State in January. Hupp’s arrival marks the third consecutive year the team has welcomed at least one new player in the spring.
Following Saturday’s game, the Seminoles return to Tallahassee to host two matches in March. The first home exhibition will be Saturday, March 21 against UCF at 4:00 p.m. and the second will be the following Saturday, March 28 against Auburn at 2:00 p.m. The Seminoles will host an alumni game prior to the start of the exhibition game against the Tigers with the game scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
