Former Lady Seminole Gets Local High School Coaching Job

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Former Florida State women’s basketball player
Arleshia Davidson was named the head girls basketball coach at Chiles High
School in Tallahassee on Tuesday. The school will open this fall.

“This is a great opportunity for Arleshia,” said FSU women’s head
coach Sue Semrau. “She was great to coach as a player and I am sure she
will do an excellent job.”

A native of Marietta, Ga., Davidson averaged 7.2 points and 3.7
rebounds per game last year as a senior. She appeared in 103 games during
her Florida State career.

Davidson will receive her bachelor’s degree from FSU in math on
August 6 and will teach math at Chiles High as well as nearby Deerlake
Middle School.
