Auburn, Ala. – The Florida State Women’s Soccer team pushed their spring record to 1-0-1 thanks to a 2-0 victory over Auburn last Saturday, March 1 at the Auburn Soccer Complex. Reigning National Freshman of the Year Sanna Talonen scored both Seminole goals to lead Florida State to victory.

Both goals came in the first half as Talonen gave the Seminoles an early 1-0 lead putting away a pass from freshman Marissa Kazbour. Later in the half, Talonen would strike again finishing a cross from Margo McAuley. McAuley made a nice run down the side and sent the ball near post where Talonen was there to find the back of the net for a two-goal advantage.

Once again all three goalkeepers saw action as Erin McNulty, Kate Milstead and Kimmy Diaz all split time in net for Florida State posting their second straight shutout of the spring season.

The Seminoles will return to the pitch on Saturday, March 22 when Florida State hosts Florida at 7:00 pm at the Seminole Soccer Complex. Admission to the game is free.
