On Tuesday, May 1, Florida State men’s and women’s tennis teams will anxiously await their fate as host sites for the 2007 NCAA Regionals are announced.
The men’s selection show is set to air on ESPNews on Tuesday, May 1 at 2:30 p.m, followed by the women’s selection show at 2:45 p.m. Fans and media are invited to join the men’s and women’s Seminoles as they host a selection party on Tuesday night at the Varsity Club beginning at 5:30 p.m. Finger foods will be provided as well as information about NCAA ticket sales and regional sites.
Florida State men’s tennis team (16-9, 8-6 ACC) is led by head coach Dwayne Hultquist who enters his fifth consecutive NCAA Championships. In 2005, FSU men’s tennis made program history as they reached the elite eight while the Seminoles fell short in 2006 to Ole Miss in round two of the regionals.
Florida State women’s tennis team (15-7, 8-5 ACC) last competed in the NCAA tournament in 2005 during head coach Jennifer Hyde’s debut season where the Seminoles fell to Florida International in round one of regionals.
