FSU Set To Launch Revamped Today

Out with the old and in with the new. Always pushing to stay at the forefront of innovation on the information superhighway, the Florida State University athletics department is counting down the days for the launch of a revitalized, the official site for Seminole athletics. The new design will debut Thursday (August 11) in the early afternoon.

“We are excited about the re-launch of our newly designed website,” FSU Assistant Director of Athletics for Media and Public Relations Rob Wilson said. “We hope it will prove to be fan friendly and we know that it is the only official source for information about Florida State athletics. We’ve got several new features and will be adding things weekly, so we encourage all our fans to start their day on the official website of the Florida State Seminoles.”

Highlighting the launch of the redesigned website will be an online chat with Florida State running back Lorenzo Booker at 1:30 p.m. (EST) on Friday. Fans can submit their questions by logging on to

Thursday’s launch will include the start of an auction for a VIP experience at Florida State’s September 5 game against Miami. Two section 33, 50-yard line tickets, two nights of hotel accommodations, an opportunity to eat with the team Sunday night and be on the field for the planting of the spear by Chief Osceola are among the many features of the this one-of-a-kind opportunities. On-line chats are just one of the many features of the revamped site, which is annually one of the most popular websites in college athletics. The number one source for Florida State athletics information, the home page will feature contests, promotions, links to audio broadcasts and live stats, photo of the day and the potential for video in the future.
