TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida State Women’s Soccer team will host its annual FSU Showcase Soccer Clinic on Saturday, April 2 from 8am to 5pm at the Seminole Soccer Complex. Presenters include Florida State head coach Mark Krikorian, FSU assistant coaches Eric Bell and Mike Bristol, FSU Soccer Strength Coach Melissa Terry, an FSU player panel and featured presenter IMG’s Steve Shenbaum. Coaches will receive breakfast and lunch as well as a coaching binder with session notes. The cost of the clinic is $95 and is open to all coaches.
“Last year we held the first annual Florida State Showcase Coaches Clinic and it was well attended and the response we received afterwards was fantastic,” said Krikorian. “We have been doing a coaching series over the last six months bringing in different coaches on campus to get different types of soccer education. The coaching series clinics have been fantastic and this will be the granddaddy of them all for us. We will be bringing in Steve Shenbaum from the IMG Academies and Game On Media to headline this event and I will be teaching a session involving technical and tactical development. We will have our entire staff here teaching different sessions. I think by getting all these soccer minds in one setting to discuss techniques and strategies will provide for a great experience for everyone involved.”
Last season Krikorian’s Seminoles made their sixth consecutive trip to the Elite 8 and finished the season with an overall record of 16-6-1 and a league mark of 7-2-1 good for second place in the ACC. The Garnet and Gold have made eleven straight NCAA Tournament appearances and have compiled an overall postseason mark of 30-10-2 during that span good for an overall winning percentage of .738, the second best mark in the ACC.
