FSU Volleyball Squares-Off With Boston College Friday At Tully Gym

Florida State (5-14, 3-8 ACC)

The Florida State volleyball team hosts Boston College and Maryland this weekend…First serve for Friday is at 7pm and Sunday’s match gets underway at 1pm…Friday’s match will air live on Internet radio  with broadcaster Ryan Pensy calling the shots and Sunday’s contest will be televised by Sun Sports…The Seminoles were scheduled to play Miami Tuesday but that date was changed to Nov. 15 because of Hurricane Wilma…Florida State went 0-2 last week after being swept by Duke and Wake Forest…On the season, senior Andreza Santos sports a team-best .281 hitting percentage and a team-best 3.20 kills per game…She is ranked 10th in hitting percentage in the ACC…Junior utility player Sarah Griffin, with 0.41 aces per game in league matches only, ranks fifth in the league in serving…Senior Kristen Rust paces the offense with 3.03 kills per game and a second-best 2.87 digs per game…In the latest ACC rankings (league games only), junior setter Jessica Skower is sixth in assists (10.88) and sophomore Summer Weissing ranks fifth in digs per game (4.66)…The Seminole’s team hitting percentage is .177 percent while its opponents manage a .210 mark…After a 11-match hiatus with a stress fracture, junior setter Zrinka Tomic is back.   • First five hundred fans will receive a free FSU photo frame magnet.

  • Immediately following the match the `Noles will be hosting a youth clinic. The clinic is open to the first one hundred kids 14 and under. To register please call 644-1350.


Sunday –

  • Kids Carnival Day

  • Free popcorn for the first 100 kids

  • A costume contest, face painting, and a special performance by the FSU flying high circus.

  • The first five hundred fans will receive a free Seminole cheer card courtesy of Sun Sports.

  • Seminole Sound will be in attendance
