TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Uplifting Athletes chapter announced a Touchdown Drive to fundraise for research for Fanconi anemia on Wednesday for the Seminoles’ game against Syracuse on Nov. 16.

Fans can email their pledge to simply by saying how much they are pledging per touchdown scored against the Orange on November 16th.

All proceeds will go towards support of research for Fanconi anemia.

“We are happy to announce our Touchdown Drive for our game against Syracuse on Nov. 16,” said Kevin Haplea, founder of the FSU chapter of Uplifting Athletes. “We hope that all Seminole fans make a pledge or flat rate donation so that each touchdown we score on the football field can make a difference off of it.”

An example pledge could be $5, and if the Seminoles score three touchdowns, then you would fulfill your pledge by making a $15 donation after the game. Flat rate donations can be made any time leading up to or after the game.

Fans can also make a flat rate donation now. The donation web site is already live, is easy to use and can be accessed HERE.

Uplifting Athletes is a national non-profit organization aligning college football with rare diseases. Each campus chapter is run by football student-athletes and works to elevate its chosen rare disease as a national priority through outreach, research, education and advocacy.

FSU’s chapter of Uplifting Athlete’s is assisting in fighting Fanconi anemia, a rare but serious blood disorder that affects thousands of children each year, including head coach Jimbo Fisher’sson Ethan.
