TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State men’s basketball game at Virginia, originally scheduled for Jan. 19, 2002 has been moved to Sunday, Jan. 20, 2002. The game is now scheduled for 4:00 p.m. and will be televised by Raycom/Jefferson Pilot. The game, one of seven in the ACC to be moved, was rescheduled due to the national tragedy of Sept. 11. Because of the tragedy, the NFL had to reschedule a number of football games as well as the Super Bowl to be held in New Orleans. The Super Bowl was rescheduled for Feb. 3, 2002. The changes in the NFL schedule have resulted in a shuffling of the ACC schedule to avoid television conflicts.
