Garnet and Gold Grub Episode 8: Bread Pudding

White Chocolate Bread pudding with an Orange Caramel Rum Sauce

Servings:  4-6


Bread pudding:

4 large eggs

2 cups whole milk

¼ tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla sugar

4 cups Day old butter croissants

1 cup white sugar

½ lb unsalted butter


Tear croissants into small pieces, set aside

Combine liquid eggs, whole milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract and mix thoroughly

Combine Egg mixture with croissants.  Allow to soak for 5-7 minutes

Place mixture in greased baking pan (loaf pans work best)

Bake for 25 minutes at 300 degrees

Once done allow bread pudding to cool

Cube Bread pudding into ¼” by ¼” inch cubes

Service:  In a hot skillet with some raw unsalted butter, heat bread pudding cubes, add sauce and serve.  (this can be served over ice cream as a nice treat)
